Dimboola, Victoria

“Nine Creeks” Dimboola

At the time of white settlement in the 1860s, the Dimboola locality was  initially known as ‘Nine Creeks’ after the local creeks running into the Wimmera River around which this quaint, pretty and very tidy town is built.

Although the town is situated on the route between Melbourne and Adelaide, it is very quiet and peaceful due to the highway bypass.

After camping the first night at the Recreation Reserve we settled into the very impressive Dimboola Caravan Park for a few days to enjoy the river proximity and the easy stroll into the town.
