Turn off the Western Highway west of Stawell, down an (easy to miss) dirt road and you will soon arrive at Lake Lonsdale, constructed in 1903.

After arriving from Dimboola we took advantage of the strong wind to dry out the washing!

Fortunately the wind dropped and the weather improved over the next couple of days and out came the paddle board.

Only a short drive out of Stawell in the Wimmera district of Victoria, the Lake Lonsdale Reserve is well worth a visit.

Come nightfall, with the Grampians in the background the scene was set for a sunset selfie!

And for the early risers there was a beautiful sunrise too!
