Corindhap, Victoria

During the gold rushes of the mid nineteenth century, Corindhap was known as Break O’Day and had a population of about 5000!

A new community Hall was built in the 1956, indicating there was still a positive outlook for the future of the town.

Sadly, nowadays it’s almost the town that used to be. Nevertheless, the very generous local community has made the no longer used football ground available for use as a campground. (Maximum stay of 2 days) The fee is by way of donation.

We found the Corindhap Recreation Reserve very quiet and peaceful, and would like thank the local people for the clean toilets and drinking water tap.

Small towns often hide very gifted people. Somebody here is definitely very handy with a chainsaw.
