Cape Keraudren Coastal Reserve, comprising of about 4800 hectares is located 150kms north of Port Hedland, Western Australia. The reserve is 13 kilometres inland from the now defunct Pardoo Roadhouse which was destroy by Cyclone Ilsa in April this year.

Camping beside Cootenbrand Creek for the first three nights, we were eventually driven out by the mosiquitos and sandflies after only catching a few small whiting.

The rugged coast and extensive mudflats are fun to explore, with sunset being the favorite time for most people to take a walk.

Some prefer to view the sunset from the clifftop.

After moving from the creek, our next position gave an uninterrupted view of the tides coming in and out.

Next stop – Port Hedland

Another great location, such vast areas out there, shame about the insects though they can make life miserable. hope all is going well, will catch you for a chat at some stage
