Jack and Mallie wish all our friends and followers a very Merry, Peaceful Christmas and a Happy New Year! We are now in Perth.

A special thanks for following us on our epic journey from Bendigo to Geraldton, more than sixteen thousand kilometres. (The amount of diesel burnt, too vulgar to mention!)
Where have we been lately? What’s going on?
Well, we had a short spell from posting because, to cut a long story short, Jack got tired.
A small vehicle issue delayed us in Geraldton for a week longer than anticipated. After a day trip to Kalbarri, we moved to very windy Dongara, then out to Mingenew to visit some friends. Back to Geraldton to have the caravan serviced then once again returned to still windy Dongara. Despite the wind, our friends Chona and Rod took us out to Ten Mile Beach for an excellent day’s fishing.

A few days in Jurien Bay, then a week in Cervantes, the nearest town to the Pinnacles Desert.

We were fortunate to catch the some “West Australian Christmas trees” “in full bloom. Nuytsia floribunda is a hemiparasitic tree found in this part of Western Australia. The species is also known locally as Moodjar.

Then back to Jurien Bays before resting up in the central wheatbelt town of Moora for five days.
New Norcia
Our last stop before arriving in Perth, was three very enjoyable days at New Norcia. The imposing New Norcia Hostel built in 1927 is an astonishing vision set again the background of the Australian bush.

Stay tune for an in depth YouTube video about New Norcia, early next year.

Merry Christmas Jack and Mallie. Enjoy Perth Looking forward to the next leg of you trip Be Safe Karen 🎄🎁💕
